Sarlo Cafe

Logo design for a small cafe in Nafplio, Greece, back when I was working as a Graphic Designer in IKONA N.G. Christopoulos (2014). We were asked to create a recognisable word mark based on Charlie Chaplin, named in Greece, Sarlo. Main products offered by the cafe are bagel snacks, bubble teas and of course coffee.

 

I draw out the most characteristic elements of the character and adopted them in the design of the logo. Building uppon the brand concept I incorporated Charlie Chaplin's characters from the movie THE KID, hiding behind the bagels. The cafe is a successful local business that still operates today, throughout all seasons of the year.
