Sokaki

Sokaki is a Greek street food brand design proposal that remained as a concept. It is a design proposal designed as part of an airport food hall project submitted during my employment at A&M Architects in Athens, Greece. The architecture of the space was designed arround a narrow passage way through various food stores which resembled a narrow alley. Hence the name proposal Sokaki, which in Greek means Alley, using as inspiration the numerous street food stores found in narrow alleys, all over Greece, like my hometown, Nafplio. The logo was designed accordingly, with a subtle visual reference to the alleys, a narrow vertical strip, with displaced text forming the word Sokaki.

The brand emphasizes on quality, first class ingridients and true Greek tastes, served in a fast paced environment (airport), with no compromise on service and the Greek meraki (doing something with love and devotion). Such Greek words, like filotimo (equivelant of 'prime vitrue') were used in designing marketing elements along with the dishes of the menu.
