58th TIFF

This is my design proposal for the 58th Thessaloniki International Film Festival that took place in 2017, in Thessaloniki city, Greece. It is one the most important Film Festivals of Greece, having an international impact and outreach, where each year it attracts participants and visitors from all over the world.

My design approach was to emphasise and built uppon the Greek branding colours and aesthetics of the Greek flag itself. Primary goal was to showcase and emphasise on the fact that Greece makes an ongoing positive impact on Arts & Culture on a global level, despite

the economic crisis of the last years. Taking advantage of the dual language communication requirements (Greek & English), I based my design on pure typographical elements and by stretching specific letters I was able to create a visual language resebling the horizontality

of the Greek flag, as well as the clean urban planning lines of the Thessaloniki city itself.
